Perpetual and Perspective Praise
Jul 28, 2024 • Pastor Dave Kinney
In this Psalm, King David is saying that no matter what valley he faced, no matter how victimized he was, he was going to keep singing and praising God because he knew two things about praise – (1) the power of perpetual praise and 2) the power of perspective praise.
Prayer comes into God’s presence so that we can carry the answer away with us. But think about this – praise goes into God’s presence and remains there forever. Prayer asks something from God, while praise doesn’t ask anything from God. The Bible says that praise ascends like sweet smelling incense into the presence of God. Hopefully we can claim some new insights to the power of praise!
