The Heart Behind The Healer

The importance of this parable, that we just read, is the fact that Jesus can see one person at a time. That’s amazing to me – talk about multitasking perfectly. And many times before someone reaches up to God, He need someone like us to first reaching out. Wasn’t that true about the time when you got saved? Where would you be today had that one person not reach out to you – that one lost sheep.

Jesus told stories using familiar elements to provide spiritual truth to people. In this chapter we see 3 parables that are centered on things that were lost but then found: a sheep, a coin, and a son. And we see the same pattern in all of them – loss, search, recovery, and joy.
